Breast modeling with augmentation

Breast modeling in combination with augmentation

The procedure is particularly suitable for women with sagging breasts who want to feel better about themselves. The aim of the procedure is to improve the appearance of the breasts. It involves surgically improving the shape and overall appearance of sagging breasts. By re-firming, lifting, and increasing the volume with the help of a silicone insert (implant), we achieve a youthful appearance. Breast modeling combined with augmentation is performed at the GIA clinic under general anesthesia, and the procedure requires a one-day stay at the clinic. The operation takes 1-2 hours with minimal risk to the client. Depending on the client's wishes, we offer round, anatomical, and ergonomic implants from several proven global brands. The implants we use at the GIA clinic are among the best on the market and meet the demanding quality requirements applicable in the EU.

Our clinic is almost the only one in the Czech Republic that uses the so-called “PECTORAL BLOCK”—a type of local anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist directly at the surgical site (the breasts), which makes the procedure less painful for the client than at facilities that do not use this anesthesia technique. This type of anesthesia is provided to the client as a bonus by the GIA clinic.

Comprehensive improvement in appearance: This surgery combines the lifting of sagging breasts with breast augmentation to achieve a comprehensive improvement in the appearance and shape of the breasts.
Increased self-confidence and satisfaction with one's own body: The combination of modeling and enlargement often leads to a significant increase in self-confidence and overall satisfaction with one's own body.
Customized results: Thanks to a wide range of implants and surgical techniques, it is possible to achieve results that meet the individual needs and wishes of the client.

Any woman can undergo surgery once her breasts have finished developing, i.e. from the age of 18 (earlier surgery is possible, but only after consultation with and consent from her parents). Women who are planning to become pregnant in the next 1-2 years are also advised to consider this surgery, as breasts often change after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Thanks to technological advances, there is a wide range of implants available on the market, offering a large selection in terms of size, shape, profile, surface, and weight. We can help every woman choose the implants that are best suited to her.

Before the operation

First, a consultation takes place, the aim of which is to provide the client with detailed information and to reach agreement between the client and the operating physician on the goals of the procedure. A mutually agreed optimal plan for the procedure is based on the client’s wishes and her clinical condition, which includes the existing shape and size of the breasts, any deformities, asymmetries, etc. The client is informed about the surgical procedure, the incision, the risks of the procedure, the contraindications, the anesthesia, and the possible complications. During the consultation, the appropriate implants are also selected.
The client must arrange for general preoperative examinations (basic laboratory tests, ECG, chest X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, etc.) with their family doctor. The actual examination requirements depend on the health status and age of the person undergoing surgery.
It is recommended to discontinue all medications that increase the tendency to bleed—consultation with the family doctor is necessary.
It is also advisable to stop taking birth control pills, which increase the risk of embolism up to 4 times (stopping the medication at least two months before the procedure is recommended and must be discussed with the gynecologist).
The client should not fast or follow a diet before the procedure. There should be no active cold sores.

Current state of health—it is important that the client protects herself from illness or infection—the operation can only be performed 2–3 months after an infectious disease.
The client must be fasting before the procedure – she cannot eat, drink, or smoke (at least 6 hours before the operation). It is recommended not to drink alcoholic beverages or coffee 24 hours before the procedure.
It is advisable to take a bath on the day of the procedure, not to apply body lotions or creams, not to wear makeup, and not to paint your nails (on your hands and feet).
Remove removable dentures, glasses, jewelry, contact lenses, hearing aids, and piercings before the operation.

Course of the surgical procedure

Breast modeling in combination with breast augmentation using implants is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia. At our GIA clinic s.r.o., this surgical procedure usually involves a one-day stay, during which we are happy to take care of our clients individually and with the necessary tact and sensitivity.
Together with the client, we prepare thorough photo documentation and a careful medical drawing with a marker on the skin in the breast area.
Once again, we explain to the client what will be done, where the incisions will be made, etc. The existing shape and size of the client’s breasts is very important for the choice of surgical procedure.
At the GIA clinic, drains are inserted into the operated area to remove tissue secretions and blood (removing these fluids promotes healing and eliminates any inflammation that may have occurred).
The wounds (incisions) are closed with absorbable suture material. The surgical wounds are covered with special plasters.
The reduced part of the breast and a small part of the mammary gland are sent for histological examination after the procedure. The operation itself usually takes 3 hours.
After the operation (still in the operating room), the client’s breasts are fixed with elastic bandages, which are removed the next day, and the client immediately begins to wear a special compression bra (the client orders this individually in advance at the clinic based on measurements taken by a doctor on the day of the consultation). This is followed by the aftercare phase, which is carried out by the client herself.

After the procedure

The GIA clinic recommends that the patient arrange her home so that she does not have to strain her arm and chest muscles for at least 7-14 days and does not have to perform any demanding household chores (washing dishes, cleaning windows, vacuuming, etc.).
Returning to work, driving, and sexual activity is only recommended after 7 to 14 days. Of course, it depends on how the woman feels, but in most cases, the sensitivity of the client’s breasts does not allow for physically strenuous activities before the aforementioned 2 weeks have passed—the patient should not engage in any activities that could negatively affect healing and must take care of her own safety at home and follow the doctor’s recommendations.
Home aftercare is an essential part of the success of any surgical procedure.
Physical activity and active sports are only recommended in a compression bra and only at least 6-8 weeks after the operation.
At home, pain is treated with standard painkillers recommended by the surgeon (usually sufficient for 2-3 days).
The client wears the special compression bra for at least 6 weeks (preferably 8 weeks) and only removes it minimally (e.g., for hygiene purposes).
Further recommendations and information (scar care, sun protection, etc.) will be provided by the doctor after the procedure.
The results of the procedure are continuously monitored during personal check-ups at GIA clinic s.r.o., but the final results can only be expected 3 months after the procedure.
After breast modeling, we recommend an annual sonographic breast examination.

Contraindications of the procedure

This depends on the condition and the client’s general state of health.
The most important contraindications include: acute or chronic infections, cold sores, autoimmune diseases, severe allergic conditions, the acute phase of a malignant disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and other serious conditions that are identified in consultation with the client who is interested in the operation.

On the day of the operation, please bring the following with you:

  • All medications that the patient takes regularly (take tomorrow’s dose and wash it down with a little water).
  • Personal belongings, cell phone.
  • A copy of the proof of payment for the operation or the advance payment, or a specific amount of cash.
  • If you wish to pay by credit card, we recommend that you check the daily limit beforehand.

Price of the procedure

The exact price depends on the implants chosen and the specific conditions of the procedure; you will receive detailed information during your consultation.

Mutual trust is a priority for us, which is why we endeavour to offer not only high-quality treatment, but also transparent information about prices.
